Who Can Apply from the UAE?
The applicant must be a resident of the UAE.
Customers with residence visa issued in Dubai / Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Umm Al-Quwain / Fujairah are requested to submit their applications at the Visa Application Centre in Dubai. While those with residence visa issued in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain are requested to submit their applications at the Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi.

Visa Application Form – signed by the applicant
Photograph – not older than 6 months, with light background, meeting ICAO criteria, without any post-processing
Passport – with copy of the ID page as well as any former schengen visa (if applicable). Must be valid for a minimum of 3 months after the intended stay, issued within last 10 years and having at least 2 blank pages
Visa fee – paid or waived, as applicable
Finger prints: a) taken NOW b) in last 59 months Required supporting documents placed in the following order:
Full travel itinerary
Copy of round-trip flight ticket or flight reservation with valid reservation code or with number of ticket, if already paid
Proof of accommodation a) hotel reservation; b) proof of rental or ownership of real estate in CZ; c) confirmation of private accommodation, mentioning that the host will cover the accommodation costs; d) confirmation of accommodation by the company inviting the applicant, mentioning that the company will cover the accommodation costs. Reservation of accommodation should cover the whole period of stay in the Schengen Area
Travel medical insurance - valid for the entire period of the intended stay and all Schengen States with a minimum coverage of € 30.000 (medical reimbursements, emergency evacuation and repartition of mortal remains)
Verifiable evidence of sufficient means of subsistence during intended stay: a) payslips b) a valid international credit card accompanied by bank statement; c) bank account statements for the last 3 months; or d) a national form for proof of sponsorship and/or accommodation. Bank statements must be original or stamped copies Employees: original letter from the employer (NOC - No Objection Certificate) on official letterhead paper with stamp, signature, date and clearly mentioning: o address, telephone and fax numbers of the employing company o name and position of the countersigning officer o employee´s name, status, position, salary and years of employment o approval of leave of absence Self-employed persons: valid original trade licence
Proof of legal residence in the UAE Residence permit valid 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Schengen area or, for GCC citizens - UAE-ID-Card valid for 3 months after the intended departure date from the territory of the Schengen Area
Minors (under 18 years of age) travelling alone (without parents/legal guardian) original authorisation signed by their parents/legal guardian in front of a visa officer or duly legalised and; copy of passport(s) of parents/legal guardian

Applications for short stay visas are accepted at the Visa Application Centre through prior appointments.
Appointments are in high demand; applicants are requested to arrange well in advance of their visa appointment.
Pay your fees: Once you have made your application, you will need to pay your visa application fee. If you are applying online for your visa, your payment will be made as part of this process.
Visit a Visa Application Centre. You’ll have to submit your complete visa application form at the Visa Application Centre in person.

Collect your passport:
After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can check the status of your application online, by providing the unique VAC Reference Number and your date of birth. (VAC Reference Number can be found on the invoice-cum-receipt provided at the Visa Application Centre at the time of submission.)
After a visa application decision has been made, you can pick up your documents from the Visa Application Centre or have your documents returned to you by courier for an additional fee. For some Visa Application Centres your documents will only be returned via courier.
Processing Time
You can submit your application no earlier than six months and generally no later than 15 days before your intended journey. If you apply less than 15 days before the journey, your application may not be processed in time. We suggest that you plan your trip and apply for visa well in advance, as in peak seasons we may not be able to offer you an appointment to submit your application immediately.
As a legal rule, a decision on a visa application is taken within 15 calendar days. This period may, in individual cases, be extended to up to 30 days and, exceptionally 60 days, if a more detailed examination of your application and/or additional documents are required.
