Who Can Apply?

The applicant must be a resident.

The following provinces of Turkey are covered by the Visa Applications Centers in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa and Edirne: Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Antalya, Bursa, Bilecik, Kütahya, Manisa, Izmir, Uşak, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Burdur.

Documents Required

🚨 The requirements for Istanbul and Ankara may differ 🚨

Please note that all submitted documents must be scanned and uploaded to online application form. Scanned documents must be named in English and upload as one of following formats , pdf, .jpg, .png and .doc.. In case of a document not uploaded you may be asked to refill the application form and upload all documents.

  1. Application Form

    • Complete the application for a Croatian Visa online at Croatian Visa Application, print it, and personally sign it (or by parent(s)/guardian(s) for minors).

    • Upload all documents and photographs to the 5th page of the application form as per section requirements (not in bulk), with a total size not exceeding 15 MB.

  2. Passport

    • Valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in Croatia, issued within the last 10 years, and must contain at least 2 blank pages.

  3. Copy of Passport

    • Copies of all used pages of the current passport, and if applicable, previous passports (including personal information pages, visas, and stamps).

  4. Photographs

    • Two recent (taken in the past six months) biometric photographs, 34x45 mm, in color with a white background (one glued to the application form).

    • Neutral facial expression, eyes open, mouth closed. Head coverings for religious reasons should not obscure facial features.

  5. Travel Health Insurance

    • Valid for the Schengen area for the entire stay, covering potential expenses such as repatriation and emergency medical assistance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000. For multiple-entry visas, the policy must cover the first visit to Croatia.

  6. Fingerprints

    • Ten fingerprints are required. If fingerprints were collected within the past 59 months, they do not need to be taken again unless of poor quality.

  7. Travel Itinerary

    • Detailed travel plan to the Schengen Area, including flights, vehicle arrangements, accommodations, and planned activities.

  8. Hotel Reservation

    • Confirmed hotel reservations for the entire stay or a travel plan for multi-destination trips, corresponding to entry/exit dates.

  9. Flight Reservation or Transportation Proof

    • Documentation for return flights or other means of travel (e.g., vehicle registration, driving license, bus ticket). Proof of return travel required for entering the Schengen Area.

  10. Proof of Means of Subsistence

    • Bank statements from the last 3 months, bank letter confirming the balance, property ownership documents, or financial documents from a sponsor. Minimum of EUR 70 per day per person or EUR 30 with a prepaid voucher.

  11. Employment Verification (if applicable)

    • For employees: Employer's letter on official paper with seal, address, and contact number, pay slips for the last three months, SGK (social security) registration, and "hizmet dökümü."

    • For company owners: Signature circular, chamber of commerce registration, tax registration certificate.

    • For farmers: Farmers' certificate from the Chamber of Agriculture.

    • For retirees: Proof of pension.

    • For students: Student certificate ("öğrenci belgesi").

  12. Travel Authorization (for minors)

    • For minors or those traveling with just one parent: Notarized authorization letter signed by both parents/legal guardians, with a copy of ID, unless traveling parent holds sole custody.

  13. Civil Registry Document

    • For Turkish citizens: Complete extract of the civil registry (Tam Tekmil Vukuatlı Nüfus Kayıt Örneği).

    • For third-country nationals: Copy of the Turkish residence permit for non-Turkish applicants ("ikamet").

  14. Additional Documents for Children

    • For applicants under 18: Birth certificate if parents are legal guardians or legal guardian appointment decision. If traveling with a legal guardian, a copy of the valid Croatian visa of the guardian is required if applying separately.

  15. Visa Fee

    • According to the Law on Administrative Fees of Croatia or applicable visa facilitation agreement with the EU. Visa fee for adults is 90 EUR; free for minors under 12 and family members of EU or Swiss citizens.

Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 45 days.

For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine and Russian Federation, visa processing time is up to 10 days.
