Schengen applications from the UAE are handled in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The two are booked separately and their availability does not move together. An empty calendar in one is not evidence about the other.

Before concluding there is nothing, check both. It costs nothing and it is the first thing worth ruling out.

Then check the destination, not just the date
