Who Can Apply from the UAE?
The applicant must be a resident of the UAE.
This one is special. If you got your visa from Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, or Fujairah, you should apply at the Visa Application Centre in Dubai. If your visa is from Al Ain or Abu Dhabi, apply at the Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi.

Application form duly completed and signed.
One passportsize color photo, white background, maximum 6 months old (see specification);
A valid passport (and a copy) satisfying the following criteria:
its validity must be at least three months longer then the visa requested. In case of more than one trip, the passport validity must be of at least 90 days from the last trip intended date;
it must contain at least two blank pages;
it must have been issued within the previous 10 years;
it must hold a valid UAE visa. Damaged passports will not be accepted.
Copy of UAE Residence Visa valid at least 90 daysfrom the intended return date.
Previous Schengen, USA, or UK visa copy.
Objection Certificate from localsponsor/employermentioning:
Name and designation of the applicant;
Start of employment date;
Applicant's monthly salary;
No objection to travel to Italy;
Duration of leave;
Name and designation of the managerialsignatory;
Direct phone number and e-mail of the signatory;
Provide copy of passport and UAE visa of the signatory.
Employment Labor Contract / agreement.
Copy of a valid trade license.
Verifiable evidence ofsufficient means ofsubsistence during intended stay: o Last 3 months pay slips; o Last 3 months bank statements (foreign bank accounts will not be considered); o Last 3 months credit card statements; o Any other document that might help evaluate your financial situation in the UAE (i.e. other bank accounts, personal properties, investments, etc...). Bank Statementshould be on a bank letterhead. Photocopies or online statements must bear the original bank stamp.
An international medical insurance covering the entire stay with a minimum of 30.000 € coverage and full and unlimited coverage for hospitalization. Emergency repatriation flight as well as repatriation of mortal remains must be included. Detailed table of benefit must be provided.
Confirmed hotel booking. Ifthe applicant willstay in a private accommodation, a Letter ofinvitation must be provided.
Confirmed flight reservation.
If the applicant is a minor: o A copy of both parents' (or legal guardians) passports; o N.O.C.: Consent letter mentioning purpose of the trip, destination, exact dates. Letter must be signed by both parents/legal guardians directly at our Visa Application Center. If one of the parents is abroad, he/she will be asked by the Consulate to contact the nearest Italian Consulate/Embassy in order to sign the consent letter in front of an officer; o Birth certificate: No birth certificate is required if the full name of both parents/legal guardians are mentioned (in English) in the applicant's passport; If not, an original or certified copy of the birth certificate (translated in Italian or English), duly legalized by the Italian Embassy/Consulate in the Country where the document has been issued, must be provided; o Divorced parents: Original/legalized copy of the divorce sentence with clear mention of full custody (translated in Italian or English); In the case of school-organized trips, a letter issued and signed by the school showing: • the list of participants • full name of the designated accompanying school staff, along with the copy of their ID and/or Passport. Originals and/or certified copies will be returned if a copy is provided.

Italy Visa Application Centre in Dubai can accept applications holding residency visa issued only from Dubai and the Northern emirates (Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Umm Al-Quwain / Fujairah).
Pay your fees: Once you have made your application, you will need to pay your visa application fee. If you download the form to print and bring to the Visa Application Centre, payment can be made at the time of your appointment. You can pay the Visa Fee in cash or by card at the Visa Application Centre.
Submit Application: Submit your visa application with all the required documents at the scheduled time of your appointment. As a general rule, at the appointment every applicant has to show up in person (this includes babies and children).

Collect your passport: After a visa application decision has been made, you can pick up your passport from the Visa Application Centre or have your passport returned to you by courier for an additional fee.
Collecting your passport in person: bring the receipt issued by the Visa Application Centre and a form of Government identification. If permitted you may be able to send a representative to collect your passport; they will need to present a letter of authorization signed by you and municipality, bring the receipt issued to you by the Visa Application Centre and their Government identification.
Processing Time
The application must be submitted at least 15 days before the intended travel date. Failing to do so will result in the application to be returned. The processing time can be up to 15 calendar days from the next working day of application submission
