Who Can Apply?

The applicant must be a resident.

You should provide evidence of your residence permission to be in Turkey. Resident permit should be valid 3 months further after the date of the expiry of the visa.

⚠️ Required documents for Tourist visa:

Kindly note, list of required documents might vary depending on requirements of Bulgarian mission represented in different cities.

ATTENTION: There is no option to request submitted documents to be returned, please provide copies of all original documents which you would like to get back.

ATTENTION:The Bulgarian mission has the right to ask for any other additional documents it considers necessary, may call the applicant for an interview, and has a contractual right of refusal. In all cases the visa fee and service fee is non-refundable.

  1. Completed and signed application form. If the applicant is a minor, signature(s) of the legal guardian(s) is required.

  2. 2 photo for visa 35 x 45 mm(not older than 6 months), biometric type with white background.

  3. A valid passport or other travel document issued within the last 10 years and it should have at least 2 empty pages. Passport must be valid for 6 (six) months after the expiry date of the visa.. Photocopies of the first page of it and old schengen visas for last 3 years.

  4. Flight ticket reservation or proof of intended transport. (not mandatory)

  5. Confirmation of hotel reservation in Bulgaria indicating period of stay / Prepaid hotel voucher issued by accredited Travel agency. 100% of the total acommodation price needs to be paid.

  6. Residential Certificate

  7. Proof of regular income e.g. salary slips of the last three months or similar. (amount equivalent to at least 50 Euros per day)

  8. Extract of Turkish family book showing family link, civil status, parents, spouse, children and siblings.

  9. If the applicant is employed; Permission letter from the employer and approval for leave (signiture, stamp, adress and telephone of company), SGK statements. If the applicant is farmer; Farming certification. If the applicant is employed or owner of a private company; Signatury circular, Company registration in chamber of commerce, Bullettin of the trade register, Tax registration certificate of the company. If the applicant is retired; Retirement certificate or retired bank statement.

  10. If the applicant is student; Student certificate. If the applicant is under the age of 18; Letter of Consent from parents which has to be approved by Notary Public(if the applicant will travel just with mother or just with father).

  11. A signed letter explaining your reason for wishing to visit Bulgaria.

  12. Travel Health Insurance valid in the Republic of Bulgaria, which covers the travel dates.

  13. Original bank receipt for a visa fee submitted on behalf of the Embassy in Garanti Bank. (In the receipt must be written name, surname and passport number of the applicant).

  14. Please Note : The applicants who will apply from Ankara must apply at least 15 working days before. Also the applicants must attach to their applications files the residence document which is taken from the Directorate General of Civil Registration and Citizenship Affairs or headman.
