Documents Required

1. Completed Visa Application Form

Application Form: A completed and signed Schengen visa application form.

2. Passport-Size Photograph

Photograph: One passport-size photograph according to ICAO standards, taken within the last 3 months. If the photo does not meet the standards, it will be rejected.

3. Passport or Travel Document

Passport Requirements:Important Notes:

  • Copy of the personal details page and pages with entry/exit stamps.

  • Copy of any previously issued Schengen visas.

  • The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of departure from the Schengen area.

  • It must have at least 2 empty visa pages.

  • It cannot have been issued more than 10 years ago.

4. Legal Residency Evidence

Residency Proof: Evidence of legal residence in the country where you are applying (e.g., passport, visa, or residence permit).

5. Travel Itinerary

Travel Reservations: A travel itinerary (not a ticket) with reservations in your name. Ensure that these are cancellable.

6. Purpose of Visit Documentation

Tourist Purpose Evidence:

  • Hotel reservation(s) for the duration of the visit.

  • Three recent bank statements.

  • If employed: A declaration from your employer stating the period of your absence.

7. Proof of Financial Means

Financial Evidence:

  • Pay slip/pay stub covering the last 3 months' salary or, if unemployed, three recent monthly bank statements.

8. Proof of Health Insurance

Insurance Requirements: An official document from your insurer proving:

  • The policy is taken out in your name.

  • Coverage throughout the Schengen area and for the duration of your visit.

  • A minimum of €30,000 for medical costs.

  • Coverage for medical expenses, including hospital care, emergency treatment, and repatriation (including in case of death).

Note: If your insurer does not provide an official document, obtain travel insurance with appropriate medical coverage instead.

9. Evidence of Return to Home Country

Return Proof:

  • A declaration from your employer or employment contract proving employment in your country of origin.

  • Documentation proving enrollment in education or training in your country.

  • Evidence of children attending school in your country.

  • Proof of home or property ownership in your country.

10. Additional Documents for Minors

For Minors Traveling Alone or with One Parent:

  • A copy of the minor’s birth certificate.

  • A copy of an identity document bearing the parents’ signature (one document for each parent).

  • A declaration of consent from both parents allowing the minor to travel.

  • If applicable: A court judgment regarding parental responsibility for the minor.

  • If applicable: A declaration from the minor’s school consenting to their absence.

  • Book an Appointment: Once you’ve booked your appointment, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation email along with the letter of appointment.

    • If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to book individual appointments for each member of the family or group.

  • Pay the Fees: Once you have made your application, you will need to pay your visa application fee. If you download the form to print and bring to the Visa Application Centre, payment will be made at the time of your appointment.
