This guide covers appointment availability and alerts. It does not replace the visa application instructions for your destination.

Choose the destination first

There is no single London calendar for every Schengen country. Spain uses BLS on Visard's UK route list. Switzerland uses TLScontact. Eighteen other destinations in Visard's current UK coverage use VFS Global.

Choose the country where you will apply, then open the booking system for that country. If you start with a generic London search, you can end up checking the wrong calendar for days.

The page for Schengen visa appointments in the UK lists all 20 destinations currently covered by Visard. France and Germany are shown on the UK page but are not currently covered.

London, Manchester and Edinburgh by destination

The table below reflects the current destination groups on Visard's live UK pages. The booking portal remains the place to confirm which city is offered for your exact route.

Table of UK booking cities: TLScontact (Switzerland) and BLS (Spain) are listed in London, Manchester and Edinburgh; VFS Global's 18 destinations are listed in London, while Manchester and Edinburgh depend on the destination.

London carries every system in the table. Manchester and Edinburgh can be useful alternatives only when your destination offers that city. Do not assume that a centre serving one country also serves the country you need.

If your UK residence status is relevant to the application, read the guide to applying from the UK with an eVisa before you choose a centre.

What to do when London shows no appointments

An empty calendar tells you what is visible at that moment. It does not tell you when the next date will appear. Visard's live UK guidance says dates appear at irregular times, so checking at one fixed time can miss them.

Use this order:

  1. Confirm the destination and booking system.
  2. Check whether Manchester or Edinburgh is offered for the same destination.
  3. Keep the details needed for booking ready.
  4. Set an alert for the exact destination and city.
  5. Open the booking page as soon as the alert arrives.

The wider guide on what to do when no appointments are showing covers empty calendars, cancellations, premium appointments and document readiness.

How Visard alerts work for London routes

Visard's Schengen visa slot checker monitors VFS Global, TLScontact and BLS calendars every 3 seconds. You choose the destination, city and visa type in the Telegram bot. When a matching date appears, Visard sends a Telegram message within a second.

Notifications cost £35 for one destination or £65 for all 20 covered UK destinations. The service runs for 31 days, does not auto-renew, and one subscription covers everyone travelling with you.

You complete the booking on the visa centre website after the alert. Visard does not change the application rules or reserve a date under the notifications plan.

Notifications or auto-booking for a London appointment

Choose notifications if you can open the booking page quickly after an alert and want to keep control of the date. Choose auto-booking if you cannot be at the screen when a date appears and your destination is eligible.

Italy, Spain and Switzerland are notifications-only from the UK. France and Germany are not currently covered by Visard from the UK.

If you are comparing providers, use the same criteria for each one: destination, city, booking system, check frequency, alert channel, price and whether it books for you. The page to compare Schengen appointment alert services keeps that provider comparison separate from this London guide.

Manual checking, alerts and booking services

Manual checking is free, but it only sees the calendar while you are looking at it. A private alert watches the selected route and tells you when a date appears. Auto-booking goes one step further and completes the booking inside the dates and centre you chose.

These are three different levels of help. Pick the lowest level that fits your schedule. If you can act on Telegram quickly, notifications may be enough. If you work shifts, sit in meetings or sleep through part of the day, auto-booking removes that response step on eligible routes.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I sign up for Schengen visa appointment alerts in London?

Start the Visard Telegram bot, choose the destination and select London when that city is offered for your route. Visard checks the matching calendar every 3 seconds and sends a Telegram message within a second of a date appearing. Notifications start at £35 for one destination and run for 31 days.

Is London the only UK city with Schengen appointments?

No. Manchester and Edinburgh appear on Visard's live UK resource pages for several routes. Availability is destination-specific, so confirm that the booking portal offers your destination in that city before relying on it.

Which booking system should I use in London?

Use the system assigned to your destination. In Visard's current UK coverage, Spain uses BLS, Switzerland uses TLScontact, and the other 18 covered destinations use VFS Global.

What if there are no London appointments today?

Confirm the correct system, check whether the same destination offers Manchester or Edinburgh, prepare the booking details, and set an alert for the exact route. Do not rely on one fixed checking time.

Does Visard book the appointment for me?

Notifications tell you when a date appears and you book it yourself. Auto-booking is available on 17 of Visard's 20 covered UK destinations. Pay our service fee only after we deliver. The visa centre fee is separate and is paid upfront so the booking can complete.
